DESCRIPTION:Piotr Szewczyk \nPiotr – violin – contemporary composer\, violinist and chamber musician \nPolish-born violinist and composer has been a member of the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra first violin section since 2007. He will share some of his solo pieces and answer questions about how he got started as a composer and how he strikes a balance with the time and energy he needs for practicing\, performing and composing. As a composer\, Szewczyk has received many awards! Dr. Szewczyk holds the degrees of D.M. from Florida State University\, B.M. and double M.M. in violin and composition from the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music.
